On Friday, Mr. Skakel's current lawyers questioned Marjorie Walker Hauer, who grew up in the Belle Haven neighborhood of Greenwich where the Skakel and Moxley families lived during the 1970s.
Advocating his amendment, Mr Walker warned that the legislation in its current form would weaken the ability of opposition and backbench MPs to hold the government to account.
If the Democrats do show up to vote and several Republicans end up defecting and voting against the bill in its current form, I doubt Governor Scott Walker could survive the fallout.
