Eindhoven-based food group Vion said supplying Asda represented about 50% of business at its Gaerwen plant.
Vion took over from Grampian Foods in 2008, when the plant employed nearly 600 workers.
In Cornwall, 555 staff work at VION's red meat processing sites in Bodmin, Victoria and Truro.
Dutch food group VION announced in November that it was selling its UK operations.
Almost 1, 700 jobs have gone since Dutch owners, Vion, announced its closure last year.
He said Vion had made a "fundamental mistake" with the size and scale of Hall's of Broxburn.

Vion announced in March it was creating 164 jobs at the Cookstown plant.
The local council has also urged Vion to donate the land for regeneration.
Vion confirmed the closure of the Hall's meat factory in West Lothian with the loss of 1, 700 posts last year.
The company said VION had faced "significant uncertainty and tough trading in recent months", but its acquisition secured a "viable future".
