He said the OS has 300 new features and demoed 10, including a new organisational system for the desktop called Stacks and a new folder system which lets users browse files and applications visually, just as music lovers can browse album covers in iTunes.
Information design gurus have tried for years, mostly unsuccessfully, to help users organize their data in a better way than the file-and-folder metaphor dreamed up at Xerox PARC in the 1970s.
Users simply install the free "FUJIFILM PC AutoSave" software onto their computer and select which folder they want the photos to back up to, and then by linking a Wi-Fi Router and the F900EXR, the camera will backup photos to the home computer.
Users could change their main net service provider by going to the Connections section of the Internet Options folder on the Windows Control Panel, said Mr Peacock.
