The International Telecommunications Union, the special agency at the United Nations that coordinates cybersecurity efforts, approached Kaspersky Lab in late April to investigate a series of incidents tied to a malware program known as Wiper.
Sponsored by the British Council in a growing number of countries, including Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria, the Fame Lab was originally launched at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the United Kingdom in 2005.
He has put together a committee of 35 advisors, including John Henry Clippinger, a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab Human Dynamics Group, Microsoft researcher Mary Czerwinski, and Jon Hall of the United Nations Development Project.
