Often brandishing staves and linked at the hip by a stretch of fabric, the conjoined fellows could just as easily be two petulant pizza makers whose shared apron was stained by a tomatopie.
The best three in town are easily the top three in New England, all offering the local "clam pizza" (a white pie - tomato-free, with mozzarella or ricotta cheese - plus local clams).
Then again, I don't know how many dogs can tell the difference between fresh and canned tomato sauce, or register disappointment if their pie shows up without a sprig of fresh basil.
