Patricia Smith, 51, came to the emergency room at Novant's Thomasville Medical Center in North Carolina in April complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains.
Hadley, an Army veteran, began collecting black history items a long time ago and finally opened a museum in Thomasville, the only one of its kind in southwest Georgia.
