"Though recurrence of breast cancer in women taking tamoxifen was already low, our results show that switching to exemestane can reduce that number by about a third, " said Judith Bliss of Cancer Research UK, one of the study authors.
"Although the increase in breast density doesn't happen in all women, we can't predict who's most at risk, " said Dr. Mary Laya, one of the study's co-authors.

The authors reported one study that found only 56 percent of 670 researchers surveyed in developing countries said their work had been reviewed by a local institutional review board or a health ministry.
