We form coteries as we stretch before class or in the humid euphoria ofthe dressing room afterward, chatting and complaining and comparing notes about teachers, and somehow this coalesces into intimacy.
There are, of course, countless rubber room anecdotes to bolster the case that there are some teachers who should obviously be fireable and should obviously be fired.
It appears likely that there will be more room for teachers to focus on deeper learning by working with students on higher-order skills and the application of knowledge in rich projects.
