While other OTT applications such as social networking have been built and delivered completely outside the mobile service provider domain, it is not possible to replicate this model with video because it is too bandwidth intensive.
One of the major reforms is expanding the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, in which a single provider or practice coordinates patient care, including tracking referrals, maintaining electronic health records and communicating data to other providers.
But even that really does serve the long-term goal of the company being a streaming-only provider with very low operational costs and a simple business model and user interface.
