Toshiba's got an Ultrabook hybrid on the way for general consumption, and now it's targeting the business-savvy Windows 8 user with its WT310 tablet (a product code borrowed from an old Windows 7 model).
Average HDD unit sales growths have been 14-15% annually over many years although this year and in 2008 and 2009 general financial issues for consumers, and in 2011 the impact of tablet computers on HDD sales have slowed unit growth to lower levels.
