Tea inspectors anonymously visited dozens of tea rooms to seek out the best, the Tea Guild said.

An Alice in Wonderland themed tea room in Cheshire has been named the best place in the UK for afternoon tea in the UK Tea Council's Tea Guild Awards.
The guild describes itself as a non-profit making, independent organisation dedicated to raising the profile of tea in the UK and says its awards are considered the Oscars of the tea industry.
