In an unfortunate twist of fate, however, the reference model wasn't able to charge -- despite an adapter cable being flown in especially from Europe -- so we were unable to see that docking mechanism (or that Haswell chip) in action.

Since none of the five PCs we own has two VGA-out video ports (and we couldn't be bothered to track down a DVI adapter), we ended up hooking the DS-1500 up to both of our Media Center PCs.

It's still 3.5mm, so if you don't like the out of box phones (which won't stay in our ears), bring your own, no problem -- and no adapter needed!

While at the stand, we were also shown the back cover of an HTC Thunderbolt -- we weren't told the Thunderbolt will be making like the Revolution and getting its own chunky wireless charging adapter, but don't be surprised if it does.
