In the clubhouse, in a room overlooking surf rolling in from the Tasman Sea, walls are adorned with black-and-white pictures celebrating beach marching in its heyday.
Then the second phase: Discovery, where we push a little more and venture out more into the world: exercises classes prepare the body and the mind for such activities as river or sea kayaking, boogie or surf, zip-lining, stand-up paddle, to go beyond our fears.
