But the format has a lot of momentum behind it: There are already 50 products on the market that support the SDcard format--from digital cameras to music players to PC drives--and there are 275 member companies in the Secure Digital Association who are actively promoting it as the next standard for removable storage.
And whenever the recording industry gets around to implementing its Secure Digital Music Initiative, the SDcard, which stands for "secure digital, " will support it.
There's a full-size SDcard reader and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack (with mic support) on the left, plus the power input, HDMI output, USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 connector and SIM slot (currently unused) in back.
