So the state's Independent governor, Angus King, came up with a sensible suggestion: Cut hay from land enrolled in the federal Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) in the unaffected counties, and send it south, where it is immediately needed.
In order to maximize the return beyond good will, my suggestion is to leverage that captive audience of top business people and investors with a full program of economic development opportunities.
My suggestion is that firearms should only be allowed to be owned by people who have been through a similar program that stresses the responsibility aspect of firearms in addition to just training someone how to use them.
