Dr. Herbert Thompson, chief security strategist at People Security, carried out an in-depth studyofthe attitudes of security architects and security executives in large enterprises.
This data comes from the Yearbook of Labour Small and Medium Enterprises in 2010, a study conducted by Sebrae in partnership with the Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies (Dieese).
As well as recommending improved infrastructure and the creation of new enterprises in areas such as farm mechanization and food storage, thestudy also suggests the recognition of agriculture as a knowledge industry.
The IDC study also confirms that almost two-thirds ofenterprises are planning, implementing or using cloud computing, and lack of training, certification or experience are the top three reasons why cloud positions are not filled.
This study was commissioned in the framework ofthe programme "Capacity-building for cultural enterprises in developing countries", which aims to strengthen emerging cultural enterprises in developing countries and render them self-sustainable.
