With a huge flow of information from many sources, some sort of activity streamfilter is needed so that the amount of information flowing through a news feed does not become overwhelming and unmanageable.
Eventually, however, wider awareness enables some processes to be radically transformed for the better. Note that an intelligent activity streamfilter is key to making this work, and we do not have one yet.
