Lead researcher Dr Laurel Yates said the findings were not surprising, but it was reassuring to discover that making the effort to stayfitandhealthy still paid dividends in later life.
"This year I've had such a good year and I'm in a very good place and with the help of my coach Nino Severino I've managed to stay very fitandhealthy, " she added.
"You know, I think a lot of the guys are becoming so much more professional ... everybody is looking more at how physical the game has gotten and how important it is to stayhealthyandfit, " Haas said.
