Courts have ruled against schools that have tried to designate cheerleading as a sport for purposes of counting male and female athletes under the federal rule.
"If these bodies wish to damage the image of their sport through bitter infighting, they will have to do so without the involvement of the United States courts, " Sparks said.
An attempt therefore, to re-open the case and direct allegations against Ms Thanou for an offence which has already been settled, with the official approval of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, would violate many rights afforded to Ms Thanou and which they could be dealt with by the appropriate Courts of Law.
