New Venture Partners has joined with the Dutch electronics giant to spinoff several companies based on technology first developed by Philips Research, with the first collaboration, Liquavista, being announced today.
The kit and software are a spin-off of the Netherlands-based firm's motion capture technology, originally developed for movies including The Avengers and Ted.
In 2003, Stanford University spin-out company Cooligy showed off its Active Micro-Channel Cooling (AMC) technology which allowed fluids to circulate through hundreds of tiny channels on the upper surface of a chip.
