Police teams were dressed in snowgear Friday, holding the trigger guards on their assault-style rifles while scouring eight square miles near Big Bear Lake, a popular skiing area two hours east of Los Angeles.
The expert ski staff does everything from simply setting your skis up on the snow to helping your kids into their gear (no small feat) and preparing your equipment for the next day.
It's a strangely Snow White-esque moment that unfolds minutes after we set up our gear in the conference room of the Leadership Development Center -- a drab, unassuming office space in the middle of Colorado Springs' Peterson Air Force Base that serves as a training facility for 11 months out of the year.
