It looks like Google has considered transferring ideas from Project Glass over to your wrist by patenting a smart watch with a transparent, flip-up touchscreen.
However, other analysts point to new potential directions for the company, including smart cars that are connected to the web, and the "iWatch" - a wrist-held tablet computer made of new malleable materials.
It is smaller, ligher and sleeker than other smart watches (particularly those that involve wearing an iPod Nano on your wrist) and are water-resistant.
