Deputy Minister for European Programmes Alun Davies explained that the Welsh government is co-working with the UK Government, other devolved governments and Welsh partners to help shape the UK's negotiating positionand the policy direction for the next round of EU programmes.
In a joint statement, they said the new council would place the UK in "a much stronger position to help shapeand exert greater leadership and leverage in the development of strategies" for these big projects.
"Doris was obviously in good shape given her position at the World Cross Country and it showed when she just pulled away from me on the steepest part of the course, " said Pavey.
