Volunteer development coordinator at South East Coast Ambulance Service, Daniel Holland, said early defibrillation and effective CPR could significantly increase a patient's survival rates during a cardiac arrest.
"These needs have been unmet for such a long period of time, and they are very excited to be able to offer this enhanced level of service" says Linda McAlear, the program's coordinator.
