Our digital infrastructure has already suffered intrusions that have allowed criminals to steal hundreds of millions of dollars and nation-states and other entities to steal intellectual property and sensitive military information.
The prime beneficiaries will be rate-sensitive companies like banks and property developers, exporters that can use savings from lower overheads to price their products competitively, and labor-intensive companies.
Foreign governments can also leverage their ownership in a way that allows them access to sensitive technology which has the potential to highlight vulnerabilities within the information infrastructure and intellectual property of the United States.
