The Juniper forest ecosystem of Ziarat-Pakistan is reputed to be the oldest and world's second largest, and harbors some of the unique species of Juniperusexcelsapolycarpu.
The second is that accurate global DNA maps exist only for about 20 species of tree, and the tests are no use unless you know what you are looking for.
Other Asian species which depend on bamboo for food or for shelter include the red panda and the world's second smallest bat, the lesser bamboo bat (Tylonycteris pachypus), which is 3.5 cm (1.4 inches) long.
