The Potash market is quite concentrated with three countries, Canada, Russia, and Belarus holding about 88% of proven world reserves with Saskatchewan, Canada alone holding almost 47%.
The world's largest uranium producer claims to be responsible for 16% of the world's production, mainly from its mines in Canada and the U.S. The Saskatchewan-based company expanded production by 17% in the third quarter and is on track to double that by 2018.
The fourth key enhanced oil project is the Weyburn oilfield in Saskatchewan, which has been producing since 1954 and is considered to be one of the most prolific fields in Western Canada.
