Then came Lenovo, Toshiba and Dell with the IdeaPad S10, NB100 and Mini 9.
The new IdeaPad Y650, Y550, Y450 laptops and S10 netbook will be available beginning in March.

The rectangular S10 looks like it will be the new standard bearer of the Rio line.
Like its predecessors, the S10 uses flash internal memory chips to store the music it plays.
The N10 and S10 are outfitted in similar fashion, while the J10 goes diminutive with a 10.1-inch panel.

SonicBlue, however, hasn't stood still: This week it announced two new players, the Rio S10 and the S30S, to spice things up.
The new literature also suggests that the S9 (and presumably the S10) will pack a multi-touch trackpad, and be available in white, red, or pink.

Intel introduced the new Atom N470 netbook CPU back in September and then Lenovo showed off its S10-3t with the new processor at CES, but chipzilla's taking the time today to give its newest Pine Trail CPU a proper unveil.
We already caught sight of a slightly mysterious, 3G-equipped Lenovo netbook last month courtesy of the FCC, and it looks like Lenovo itself is now adding to the speculation, with a recently revealed user manual all but confirming an updated S10-2 netbook.

According to Intel, the major OEMs are expected to introduce new netbooks based on this processor soon, but if our experience with the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t is any glimpse into the "performance boost" of this processor we're not sure there's anything to wait for.
Our full review of the S10-3t netvertible is almost done cooking, but we can tell you right now the system didn't feel faster in use even with its 2GB of RAM, and on PCMark05 it scored in the same range as other N450 netbooks.
The new Exilim Card EX-S10 (pictured) manages to pack a full 10 megapixels, 3X optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD, and stereo microphones into its 1-inch thick frame -- which means we're a little curious as to how noisy that sensor is, since it can't be very big.
