Wales is a founder member of the Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development, which represents over 600 sub national governments within the UN on sustainability issues.
Mr Elis-Thomas called on the Welsh government to support the accreditation of the Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development to contribute to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2012.
