"The market is always impatient for new Apple products, but they haven't had anything really new since the iPhone, " said Mike Binger, fund manager at Thrivent Asset Management in Minneapolis, which owns Apple shares.
"I just think he grew impatient and sees a shakeout coming in the Detroit auto industry, and he really wasn't comfortable holding that much money in it, " says De Lorenzo.
