Most startups are neither and have a tough time finding people to back them because what they are proposing to do neither solves an existing problem elegantly enough nor creates unique conditions for new ventures.
We hope this fall the Administration is able to resist political pressure to resurrect SOPA, the Commerce Department is able to use this comment period as an opportunity to get more solid information on the scope and real cost of the problem of infringement, and that everyone this time examines the costs of solutions before proposing them.
