The Casey collection now will become a permanent part of the Hoover Institution Archives -- the largest private repository in the world on social, economic, and political change.
Currently, the library is working on partnerships with the private sector that would at least allow access to the archives in its Washington reading rooms.
Much of the material had been held in the National Archives, although some missing documentation had been transferred in a private collection to Stanford University in California.
