Amazon has branched out into own-brand products, has set up specialist e-commerce sites in several premium markets and is dabbling in moviemaking and television production.
The new DivX TV platform will offer a large and diverse roster of online content including Internet video, premium movies, music channels, social networking services and photo-sharing sites.
Sports and the NBC Sports Group will continue to maintain separate sites and editorial control of their respective newsrooms and digital properties, they will collaborate on premium sports news and events coverage both online and on the air.
