Defence barrister Adam Vaitilingam QC said Mrs Norris was diagnosed with severe postnatal depression days before the baby's death.
Dr Flynn is also vice chair of the Angela Harrison Charitable Trust which aims to raise awareness of postnatal depression.

Verity Reed Hall, who runs a postnatal depression support website from her home in west Cornwall, wants a dedicated centre for women with severe cases of the illness, so they can recover and care for their baby at the same time.
