The route became off-road again passing the Motor Sports Centre in Pembrey and continuing along the Millennium Coastal Path back through Burry Port and Pwll.
Despite the name, it is actually a 2km pedestrian and bike path, developed to provide easy access from the city centre and Tallinn Passenger Port (Vanasadam) to the cultural sites of Kalamaja.
That prompted a hurried rebuilding of that part of the PATH signal system, a spokesman said, and an additional reform: The Port Authority now installs steel floodgates at the entrances to its cross-Hudson tunnels before major storms, including Sandy.
