Warwickshire Police said that Charles was driving a blue Ford Fiesta when the collision with a grey Land Rover Freelander took place at the junction with Welford Road on 22 December at 19:00 GMT.
The driver, who has not been named, left the scene of the crash, east of the junction with Breichwater Place.
The crash took place on the A6, near the junction with Dundonald Street in Heaviley, at about 1400 GMT.
