The OPLC said she was being suspended while any possible conflict of interest was investigated.
The OPLC and West Ham said Ms Knight had no involvement in that decision.
The Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) is hoping to select a tenant by March 2011.
Tottenham is yet to respond to the government's confirmation that West Ham's original deal with the OPLC had collapsed.
The OPLC has also declined to comment on the legal bid by Orient.

The clock is ticking for the OPLC because it has set a deadline of 2014 for the new tenants of the stadium to move in.
