All of which has transformed the Deutsche appointment into something of a test of whether corporate Germany has learned what many in the UK would see as one of the big lessons of globalisation, that global companies should appoint the best person for the job, regardless of nationality.
For example, since I will be thrown out into the professional world in just a few short months, I feel that I should be applying to every job I see posted or else I will be one of the millions of college students who graduated but cannot find a job.
