Mohsen doesn't remember much from that period, but he's certain that his happiness was complete, that no one challenged his outbursts of laughter or condemned him for being a spoiled, capricious child.
Laughter is one of the things that struck me about people and firms practicing radical management.

Her husband, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki, is doing a terrific job and Patty has become just one of my dearest friends and just always a spot of courage in a sea of work. (Laughter.) So where's Patty?
This is good. (Laughter.) I think this is one of my largest agency visits.
My question is, what are we going to do -- I guess, more specifically, what are you going to do -- (laughter) -- to help one out of six or seven people get out of poverty?
And on this no one can accuse me of not living by my principles. (Laughter.) A middle class that's back on its feet, an economy that lifts everybody up, an America that's ascendant in the world -- that's more important than winning an election.

And so Margo thought about it, and about a week later I got this fake moustache -- (laughter) -- that I guess she got from one of the makeup artists on Broadway.
Everybody was standing and I thought Argonne -- one of the effects of the sequester, you had to -- (laughter) -- get rid of chairs. (Applause.) That's good, I'm glad we've got some chairs.
It probably comes from being one of 11 children -- you've got to be tough. (Laughter.) Two of his sisters are here today, by the way -- Mary and Anna.

Can everybody please give Lisa a big round of applause for that great introduction? (Applause.) Not only does she deserve a great introduction -- or applause because of the introduction, but also having three kids and one more coming -- (laughter) -- that deserves some applause. (Applause.) To all the moms out there. (Applause.) That is some work.
