Last year, bakers at the British Sugarcraft Guild were reportedly told that using Olympicsymbols in icing and marzipan modelling would breach copyright.
Liberal Democrat peer Lord Addington, who is vice president of UK Sports Association, argued that restrictions on the use of Olympicsymbols were "there for very good reasons, primarily to allow the Olympic movement and those sports attached to it to raise financing and protect their marketing".
