The goal is to stem the rising tide of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, including those known as repetitive stress or repetitive strain injuries, that account for one third of all occupationalinjuries reported to the Bureau of Labor Statistics each year.
But the latest audit shows that at 93 factories, workers put in more than the 60-hour weekly limit prescribed by the American firm, and a third of all the plants inspected did not have sufficient measures to prevent employees suffering occupationalinjuries.
