In order for the NHS to work stop them competing with the corporate institutions and put doctors on a commission basis, where they are able to get very high salaries proportional to the number of times a patient has to return to get a cure ie pay them for results and not numbers.
It may notcure their disease, or heal their wounds, but it does make them feel part of the inner circle of healthcare where they have a constitutional right to be!
The geeky do-gooders like Bill and Melinda Gates and the Google boys, their avuncular buddy Warren Buffett, even George Soros with his May-December romances: put them all together and you have enough money to cure tropical diseases and spread democracy but not enough kinks to lift an eyebrow.
