Investigators have turned up no physical evidence linking Hatfill to the anthrax attacks, according to federal sources, and say they don't consider him a suspect in the case.
Hatfill said that he, like all scientists working at the federal lab, had been vaccinated against anthrax infection, but had received no boosters since 2000.
Health officials said about 770 people who either worked or spent time in the building have been tested, and there were no indications that anyone else was exposed to anthrax.

The officials, linguistic and behavioral experts who have been analyzing the three known anthrax letters, made their assessments more than a month after the first anthrax outbreak in Florida, where no letter was ever recovered -- and at a time of growing congressional frustration over the lack of progress in the investigation.
"There's no test that has been performed where a postal employee has been diagnosed with anthrax, which is something good, and that's something all our postal employees should keep in mind and the public in general, " he said.
The report concludes there is no clear link between the illness and a veteran's exposure to factors such as depleted uranium or an anthrax vaccine administered at the time.
