The International Basic Sciences Programme (IBSP) is an international multidisciplinary programme established by UNESCO Member States in order to reinforce intergovernmental cooperation and cooperation between partner organizations in science to strengthen national capacities in the basic sciences and science education.
The estimates point to the need for an increased commitment to education on the part of national governments as well as a substantial increase in aid commitments to basiceducation.
The two ministries are the Ministry of BasicEducation, Literacy and the Promotion of National Languages and the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Recommendations for implementing the national assessment were made and many ideas about the right to basiceducation, regional cooperation and partnerships, youth, early childhood development, quality of education, the post 2015 education agenda and other important topics were discussed.
Everything we think of as being pretty important -- from education to basic science and research to transportation spending to national parks to environmental protection -- we'd essentially have to eliminate.
