Meanwhile, Indian F1 driver NarainKarthikeyan told the BBC that the circuit was "looking amazing" and that the problems caused by stray dogs had been over-exaggerated.
Spanish-owned Hispania announced on Friday they had signed Indian NarainKarthikeyan, who last raced in Formula 1 in 2005 for Jordan, as one of their 2011 drivers.
"An Indian GP would satisfy the legions of Indian fans of the sport who are currently glued to the television on Sundays and turn up in droves at various venues where large viewing screens are put up, " said NarainKarthikeyan, who became the country's first F1 driver in 2005.
