Even though big-box centers across the U.S. still are struggling with vacancies lingering from the liquidation of retailers such as Borders, Circuit City and Linens N' Things, the industry's average vacancy rate has declined in recent years.
Radio Shack pays its executives relative to how well the company performs against its peers, in this case a selection of 15 retailers that includes Circuit City and Linens 'n Things, and both were liquidated after seeking bankruptcy protection.
