Mr Roy further argued that the sustainability model of the initiative would centre on establishing enduring public-private-people partnerships that would bring together governments, private companies and the concerned rural communities.
While other countries are examining the Swiss model with a view to establishing a similar system of their own, the scheme's national co-ordinator Nicole Stutzmann issued a note of caution.
