Mobilicity, Canada's UNLIMITED 3.5G mobile operator, provides nationwide coverage with unlimited coverage areas to make wireless communications more affordable and easier to use.
Mobilicity today also launched a Premium Mobile Data Internet Plan and the Huawei E366 Premium Data Stick to provide data stick customers with 20GB of data at Mobilicity's fastest speeds each month.
While the apparent leak doesn't mention the exact motivations, it's thought to be a spectrum grab when LTE on major Canadian carriers primarily leans on the very AWS frequencies that Mobilicity also uses for its 3G service.
Like all Mobilicity devices, it does not come with a handset tab credit check, nor does it come with a contract to lock a customer into a multi-year service plan, as is often the case with Canada's incumbent carriers.
Rules meant to preserve competition will prevent Telus from buying any newcomers' spectrum until early 2014, and Mobilicity left the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association just this week while accusing the industry group of being a puppet for bigger networks like Telus.
