The system is equipped with five laser guide stars and three deformable mirrors to correct image distortions from the Earth's atmosphere in real time, researchers said.
The footage is then transmitted to a home-theater-quality projector, which throws the image onto another set of mirrors that reflect back onto a very rapidly spinning screen.
