While Darling's book was at the printer in late February, two teams of NASA scientists published new analyses of a 4.5-billion-year-old Martianmeteorite.
The hope is that mineralogical and geochemical analysis of the three samples will allow researchers to find new ways of identifying possible Martian meteorites, both in the wild and among existing meteorite collections.
